INTRODUCTION

The ministry’s operational handbook discusses the ministry’s definition encapsulated in its mission laying emphasis on the didactic and holistic ministries in order to minister to the total man. It gives synopsis of the ministry’s mission statement and philosophy and incorporates mission evangelism, mission church planting, and mission education. It concludes with the Support Mission Leadership and discusses the mission objectives, the job descriptions of the leadership, and names the tentative leadership by appointment under the leadership skeleton and the revitalization strategy for the ministries.

MINISTRY’S DEFINITION

Praise Ministries International is an evangelical and cross-continental ministry whose mission is for global-evangelization laying emphasis on the holistic and didactic views of the Great Commission (Matt 28:16–20). To accomplish this mission, Praise Ministries International Inc. narrows categorically its mission into evangelism, Church planting, and Education.

The Ministry principally functions under two major strains (holistic and didactic). We believe that the church of Jesus Christ is obligated to minister to the total man. It is based on this philosophy that we are not only interested in the man’s salvation, but we are also interested in his social, physical, emotional, and psychological needs. We believe these aspects of lives are paramount and they contribute to the man’s spiritual enlistment.

Holistic View. For every divine intervention, there should be human involvement. Jesus on earth did minister to people physical needs in order to enhance the kingdom of God. This is all the holistic ministry is concerned with. This Ministry has a non-governmental organization that will be used for holistic mission. The Macy Developmental Program to Help the Needy so called is a physical auxiliary arm created under this Ministry to enhance the holistic aspect of the ministry.

Didactic View. After the ascension of Jesus into heaven, he gave gifts unto men (church) for the purpose of equipping the saints for the works of the ministry and edifying the saints of the body of Christ so that the believers reach to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ and no longer be children carried by all kinds of wind doctrines. This ministry will practically teach the word of God and live an exemplary life demonstrating the power of God in a realistic spiritual environment to advance the kingdom of God on planet earth.

MISSION STATEMENT

Praise Ministries International is a cross-continental ministry whose mission is to reach the world for Christ through evangelism, church planting, and education. Our goal is to meet the needs of the total man (body, soul, and spirit). It is based upon this philosophy that Praise Ministries International operates under the didactic and holistic ministries in order to obey the Great Commission.

MINISTRY’S PHILOSOPHY

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age (Matt 28:19–20 NIV).

Praise Ministries International’s philosophy of ministry is encapsulated in the Great Commission. The strategies of soul winning and church growth should depend on the Great Commission commanded by Jesus Christ prior to his ascension into the heaven. The church must go, make disciples, baptize, and teach them to obey everything according to scriptures. In this light, our methodologies in fulfilling the mission objectives are focused and carried out in mission evangelism, mission church planting, and mission education.

Soul Winning Strategy (SWS)

Go (Mission)

The local church assembly of Praise Ministries International shall execute local church evangelism via person to person soul winning endeavor and open air evangelism. The leadership of the local church assembly shall organize the evangelism department of the church responsible for these endeavors and the department shall plan and execute evangelistic activities on the weekly, quarterly, and monthly basis to reach the unreached group people of the world by going out.

Make Disciples (Multiplication)

Prior to the evangelistic activities, the department shall train soul winners, counselors, and prayer warriors who shall be held responsible to follow up and to pray for souls won to Jesus. Soul winners or counselors shall record the names of souls won on follow up cards containing the name, address, and contacts of the converts. These cards shall be used to do follow ups fort the souls won to Jesus. The department shall designate someone responsible to make calls and to send text message inviting these newly converts to church services (New convert class, Bible studies, and Divine worship). Under the evangelism department, the Prayer Ministry shall organize prayer activities to pray for souls and for all the departmental wings of Praise Ministries International.

Baptize Them (Inclusion)

The department shall organize baptismal classes periodically to teach new converts before a baptismal ceremony can be carried out. Every convert baptized shall be given a baptismal certificate.

Teach Them (Pedagogy)

After the baptismal ceremony, new converts classes shall be conducted by the Christian Education Ministry department to teach on biblical stewardship. The classes shall be conducted according to ages and the levels of education of the converts. After new converts’ classes, the new member classes shall be conducted where in members will be required to fill the membership application form to become full flesh members of the assembly. After the new membership classes, members will be spread out to the normal Sunday school classes or Bible studies according to the age groups.

Religious

Praise Ministries International shall initiate the school of ministries to train pastors and lay leaders who have the desire to enter into ministry to fulfill God’s call on their lives. The school of ministries will be followed by the institution of seminaries and bible colleges to train pastors and desired students in theological degrees.

Academic

Praise Ministries International shall build primary and secondary schools to educate the youths of our generation. The educational department of the ministries will further extend its program in early childhood education (schools or day care centers) while incorporating vocational education in the areas of baking, sowing, nursing, book-keeping etc.
